An intense and fast-paced read!
I was drawn in from the very first page, it gets straight into the nitty-gritty. The author doesn't waste time getting to the point, they just hit the ground running. It's fast-paced and at moments, incredibly intense. As the plot unravelled before my eyes, I found myself perched on the edge of my seat a lot.
The author makes you go from disliking characters to fully supporting them the next. I felt like I was willing them to succeed so much at times, I should have had some pom poms because I was like their own personal cheerleader.
This book is incredibly informative and enjoyable. If like me, you're fascinated about what happens during a trial and the process of being sent to prison, you're going to love it! The fact that the author is still an active Police Officer helps to paint an incredibly detailed picture, making the plot believable and the characters relatable.
I found one particular part to be heartbreaking and because I'm such a girl, I did shed a few tears (I can't explain why so, you'll have to read it for yourself to find out).
I would highly recommend this book to everyone aged 16+. Go buy a copy, you won't be disappointed. Trust me.
